ALL-STAR AMBASSADOR PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The ASAS NJ All-Star Ambassador Program was founded in 2017 purposed to create opportunities for both individual After-School All-Stars NJ scholars and community impact. If selected, membership will offer various opportunities to lead, advocate, serve, build character, and achieve.

All-Star Ambassadors are representatives and positive change agents in their communities who commit to standing up to take action for what they believe in.  

We look forward to seeing the NOW generation leading in starlight.

ALL-STAR AMBASSADOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Actively enrolled ASAS NJ scholar, in grades 6-8

• In overall good standing with the ASAS NJ codes of conduct

• Has positively consistent attendance in ASAS NJ courses/ activities

• Exhibits excellence in and out of academic (B- average) and/or ASAS NJ classes

• Displays outstanding skills in leadership and communication with a dependable, hard-working nature

• Ready, open to, and available to advocate for your passions and community & service-learning projects (volunteering)

• Committed to a year of service with the All-Star Ambassador Program's meetings, initiatives, and activities

• Parent/guardian consent to participate

• Ability to positively LEAD AT ALL TIMES and enjoy doing it

• Available for virtual and in-person meetings and/or outings 

• Successful, on-time completion & submission of candidate requirements

• Selected by the All-Star Ambassador Program advisory team to be inducted as a member​

​​​​APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCESS:​

1. NOMINATION/ INVITATION TO APPLY -  Scholars may be nominated/ invited to apply or self-nominate.

2. APPLICATION - Application includes an essay/writing sample.

3. INTERVIEW - If selected to move forward, candidates will participate in a professional-style interview.

4. SELECTION -  The advisory team will select candidates for membership based on their eligibility, application, and interview.

5. INDUCTION - A formal announcement or ceremony to officially welcome selected candidates into the All-Star Ambassador family.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Not all applicants will be selected to be All-Star Ambassadors, but may still have other leadership opportunities with ASAS NJ.

• Those who are selected are expected to remain committed, engaged, and involved in all Ambassador meetings, initiatives, and activities for their entire term of service.
